Refund Policy

We keep refunds simple. If the Service isn't working for you, we'd rather refund you than fight about it.
The 14-Day Rule
If you're unhappy with The Black Ledger for any reason within 14 days of your first payment, email us at support@theblackledger.org and we'll process a full refund. No questions, no forms, no retention pitch.
This applies to:
- First-time Pro tier purchases
- First-time crypto subscription payments
After 14 Days
After the 14-day window:
- Cancellation anytime. You can cancel your subscription at any point. Cancellation stops your next billing cycle — you keep access through the end of your current paid period.
- No partial-month refunds. We don't pro-rate refunds after the 14-day window. The subscription was purchased for the full month; you get the full month.
- Exception: If you experience a significant, documented Service failure (extended outage, systematic alert failures, material breach on our end), email us and we'll make it right — which may include a pro-rated refund, extended access, or other remedy as appropriate. We'd rather fix the problem than lose you.
Cryptocurrency Payments
The 14-day rule applies equally to cryptocurrency payments.
Because blockchain transactions are final, we cannot reverse your original payment. Crypto refunds are sent to the wallet address from which payment was received, in the same cryptocurrency. The refunded amount is calculated based on the USD value at the time of original payment (so if the coin's value has changed, you receive your original USD-equivalent back in crypto, not the original coin quantity).
If you need a crypto refund sent to a different wallet than the one that paid (e.g. if the original wallet is no longer accessible), email us and we'll work it out — but we may require additional verification.
How to Request a Refund
Email support@theblackledger.org with:
- The email address on your account
- The approximate date of purchase
- A brief note (even one sentence is fine — “not for me, please refund” works)
We aim to process refund requests within 5 business days. Refunds to payment cards typically appear in your account within 5-10 business days after we process them, depending on your bank. Crypto refunds are typically sent within 2 business days.
Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute through your bank or card issuer without first contacting us, we reserve the right to suspend your account pending resolution. We prefer resolving refund questions directly — it's faster for you and simpler for everyone.
